How to Launch Your Site to Search Engine and Ping Settings

In this WordPress tutorial for beginners you will learn “how to launch your site to search engines, and use Ping settings effectively”. However, before we go ahead here’s quick explanation, WordPress is a CMS that allows you to notify search engines that you website is live. In simple word it is featured with, you have published a new post, page or media file on your website and let the search engine know that it is up. So here you will know how you can actually rank in search engine.

Here’s what you need to do

Simply login to your WordPress Dashboard, go to Readings under Settings.

Do this before you unable the “Ping Settings”, so make sure that this box is unchecked.

Extra Tip: Don’t do this practice until you will not ready to launch your website. If you’re not ready to launch keep this box unchecked. So, uncheck this box, click on Save Changes.

Now go to Writing, find the Ping settings here.

Here you would have to “Update Services” where you will be able to enter a list of Ping sites. Go to google.com and search “WordPress Ping list” open some of the top links and find the most updated one.

This time you may go to 2013 or 2014, and find the most updated WordPress Ping list. Simply copy all the founded Ping URLs into here and paste these in your WordPress site and click on Save Changes. Scroll down and see the list.

Now whenever you will create a post/page WordPress will automatically tell the search engine about it.
